The April permit report for Madison County Building Department shows that there was a total of 54 permits issued. This is down from the 59 permits issued in March. New residential construction had one permit issued. There were no commercial projects for the month of April. The electrical permits were the highest of permits issued with 15 in total. Roofing permits were the second most requested with eight permits, which is up from the one request in March. Mechanical permits were requested seven times. This is down from the 11 permits issued in March. Plumbing permits were issued six times. Other permits category such as demolition had six permits issued. Fire safety permits was issued three times. Renovations or remodeling permits was issued two times. The mobile homes or modular setup was issued once and the mobile homes permit was issued once. The total fees collected for April was $7,584.02.
