All over the nation, Veteran's Day is celebrated on Nov. 11 in recognition for those who have served our country. On Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of WWI, Veteran's Day originated as “Armistic Day” and became a national holiday in 1938. In honor of this dedication to American veterans of every war thus far, the Madison County Community Bank is having a Veteran's Day memorial service on Wednesday, Nov. 11 beginning at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend this event and join Madison County in recognizing the gallant service members, veterans and their families in honor of their sacrifices to help keep America and its people free. Madison County Community Bank is located on 301 East Base Street. For more information, contact the Madison County Community Bank at (850) 973-2400.
