Madison County law enforcement officers work day and night to tirelessly serve and protect the community, improve the quality of life and promote peace to the best of their ability. These dedicated individuals make sacrifices and courageously work to do what is right for the community.
In order to honor the officers that serve the Madison County community, Norris Cafe is hosting “Police Eat Free Day” on Wednesday, July 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Any officer of the city or county will be able to sit down and enjoy a well-deserved free meal.
The idea of “Police Eat Free Day” struck the event's sponsor, David Plummer, a local businessman with Outback Marine Construction, while he was eating breakfast at Norris Cafe and saw an officer walk in and order a meal. Plummer was moved to do something great for the officers in the community and decided to propose the idea to the cafe. In support of the officers, the owners of Norris Cafe delightfully agreed.
“With all the negativity on social media lately, I wanted to do something nice for the community,” said Plummer.
So, as a thank you to the men and women who defend the community, all officers are invited and encouraged to come on down to Norris Cafe and grab a bite to eat on July 20.
Norris Cafe is located at 140 SW Range Street in Madison. For more information, call (850) 973-2552.
