The North Florida Livestock Show and Sale is right around the corner and with days of events, full of fun activities, it's time you know what's going on.
Festivities will begin with swine-entry receiving from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 19. On the same day, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., there will be steer-entry receiving. At 4 p.m., there will be an exhibitors' meeting, with a youth swine show at 6 p.m.
On Tuesday, Feb. 20, beginning at 9 a.m., there will be a livestock judging contest. At 12 p.m., the forms for the Pee Wee Scramble are due. At 7 p.m., there will be awards, gain-in-weight, best record book contest, Pee Wee Scramble and a Calf Scramble. If you would like to participate in the Pee Wee Scramble, forms are now available. There is a limit of 125 participants or a 12 p.m. cut-off time on Tuesday, Feb. 20 (whichever comes first).
On Wednesday, Feb. 21, there will be steer screenings at 9 a.m., with a youth cattle show to follow at 6 p.m. On the last day, Thursday, Feb. 22, a buyer's dinner will take place at 5:30 p.m., with a herdsmen award presentation at 6:45 p.m. Immediately following the award presentation, an auction will take place at 7 p.m. to round out the evening.
