Juvenile Burglarizes D&C Wireless And Services

City of Madison Police Department Patrolman Joey Smith was dispatched to D&C Wireless and Services on 177 SW Horry Ave., in reference to an active alarm, Wednesday, April 9 at 4:30 a.m. According to the Madison Police Department report, Sgt. Chris Cooks discovered the side window had been broken and Patrolman Smith noticed the front door was opened. A Madison County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit and Smith cleared the building while Sgt. Cooks covered the window and the rear door. Smith viewed the surveillance footage and observed a young black male inside the store running towards the front door. Sgt. Cooks arrived at the Madison Police Department on Thursday, April 10 at 7:40 p.m. with Raven Robinson, 12, and his mother for questioning. Robinson gave Sgt. Cooks a statement advising that he was the one who broke into the business and advised that he took the items that were taken from D&C Wireless and Services. The items taken were an iPhone 4s, Verizon Nokia and two iPhone cases. Robinson was charged with burglary to structure unarmed and grand theft.
