Madison Fire Rescue was called to a house fire located at 209 NW St. Luke Church Loop on Monday, Sept. 28 at 9:48 a.m. There was no one home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. According to Fire Chief Bruce Jordan, the cause of the fire was an electrical short in an outlet on the wall in the living room. The fire damage was moderate. Madison County EMS, Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshall responded to the scene to assist Madison Fire Rescue.
