Those who reside and work in the City of Madison, especially the Industrial Park, may have noticed the bright flashing signs up along Hwy. 53 south that are informing the community that Harvey Greene Dr. will be closed off, starting Tuesday, May 3.
The cause is no reason for alarm, as, according to the county road department, repairs are going to be made on a gas line that runs under the road near the Hwy. 53 south intersection of Harvey Greene.
Citizens whose place of work is within the Industrial Park will still be able to access the park, as local traffic will still be allowed in via the SR14 opening of the road.
No big, industrial trucks will be able to use the road, but smaller vehicles will be permitted entry.
The repairs to the gas line will only keep the road closed off for a few days, but the maintenance will be ongoing for the next two to three weeks.
