The Hamburg-Lovett Fire Department, located at 7286 NW Lovett Rd., in Greenville, will hold its annual peanut boil on Saturday, Sept. 10, beginning at 5 p.m.
Chicken and rice dinners, as well as hamburgers and hotdogs will be sold. Free all-you-can-eat peanuts are available for attendees while they enjoy the festivity, and quart and gallon bags of boiled peanuts can be purchased to take home. There will also be a cake auction held.
All political candidates are invited to attend and there will be an allotted time to speak to all attendees.
The event’s proceeds will go to the Hamburg-Lovett Fire Department, in order to help support their operations and purchase more equipment for the station.
