Attention Greenville residents!
The American Red Cross will be coming to the Greenville Fire Rescue station on Saturday, Feb. 6. During this time, American Red Cross will be providing free smoke detectors for installation. The Fire Rescue staff will be installing the smoke detectors for any resident in need at no charge.
The National Fire Protection Association reported that three of every five home fire deaths resulted from fires in homes with no smoke detectors or no working smoke detectors.
Requests for smoke detector installation will be taken from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 6, so be sure to stop by and take advantage of this opportunity if you are in need of a working smoke detector.
