The Greater Madison County Chamber of Commerce recognizes outstanding Chamber members, individuals and businesses in our community. The Best of Madison - Chamber of Commerce Awards and Taste of Madison will be held on Thursday, Feb. 10. Awards will be presented for Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, Best Business in Customer Service Award, Best Individual in Customer Service, Citizen of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year and Inaugural Four Freedoms Award. Recipients of these awards are nominated and voted on by members of our community and represent the best of our community. Awards are intended for Chamber Members reflecting the highest level of professionalism, knowledge, integrity, stewardship to the community, investment in the future of business and growth in Madison.
To be nominated for Small Business of the Year, you must be a Chamber member for at least one year, be a business in Madison City or County limits with 25 or less employees, have outstanding customer service, demonstrate growth and stability, maintain growth through revenue and creation of jobs and make a positive impact on the community.
To be nominated for Large Business of the Year, you must be a chamber member for at least one year, be a business in Madison City or County limits with 26 or more employees, demonstrate outstanding customer service, demonstrate growth and stability, maintain excellence in community relations and reliability, hold growth through revenue and creation of jobs, demonstrate economic support of the region, makes positive impact on the community and volunteerism of employee base.
To be nominated for Young Professional of the Year, you must own or be employed by a Chamber member of at least one year, be a professional under 35 who has made a positive impact to his or her industry and maintain a devotion to community service, civic engagement and economic development.
To be nominated for the Best Business in Customer Service Award, you must be a Chamber member for at least one year, have a business that is dedicated to customer and client services and display consistent quality service and courtesy in the community.
To be nominated for the Best Individual in Customer Service Award, you must own or be employed by a Chamber member for at least one year, be an individual that is dedicated to customer and client services and display consistent quality service and courtesy in the community.
To be nominated Citizen of the Year, you must be a resident of Madison County who has made a positive impact and contributed to the community through leadership, community involvement, volunteerism and overall public service. You do not need to hold a Chamber membership to qualify.
To be nominated for Non-Profit of the Year, you must be a Chamber member for at least one year, be a certified 501(c)3 organization that has proven to be vital in enriching the quality of life of others in the community and be a faith-based organization or community service and well-being entity.
To be nominated for the Inaugural Freedom Square Award, you must be a current or previous resident of Madison of at least eight years, be an individual who has achieved national notoriety or has been recognized for honorable military service, and the individual’s talents or service has had a notable recognition on a local, state, or national level, while maintaining community pride and recognition of their roots.

Winners will be announced at the Best of Madison Chamber Awards & Taste of Madison on Thursday, Feb. 10, at Madison Church of God, located at 771 NE Colin Kelly Hwy, in Madison.
