The Boyz to KINGS (BTK) organization will be hosting their 3rd annual Madison County High School Cowboys vs. Concerned Community Men flag football competition on Friday night, June 6, 7:30 p.m., at MCHS. The entry fee is $4 with some of the proceeds from this event going towards helping the BTK charitable efforts and some going towards another Madison youth-centered, community organization.
The flag football event is designed to raise awareness for and gain participation from Madison County residents, especially men, who are much needed in the lives of our youth today says BTK founder, Merv Mattair. The game will feature local “celebrities” from Madison who will make up the Concerned Community Men of Royalty football team and Concerned Community Women who will cheer them on as Royalty Cheerleaders. Some of these local stars include: Supervisor of Elections Tommy Hardee; Marcus Hawkins, City Commissioner; Chris Neal, MCCS Dean of Students; Megan Dickey, MCCS Teacher and Yolanda Haynes, MCCS Assistant Principal.
Great food will be provided at a reasonable price and furnished by Tharron Robinson, in charge of the grill and Tarnisha Tompkins, serving funnel cakes. Come out for an evening of fun, eat some good food and have a good time watching Madison’s stars as they challenge the MCHS Cowboys in a game of flag football, all while supporting local Madison youth.
