North Florida Medical Center will be holding a Diabetes Education Class, free to the public at Madison Medial Center, located at 235 Dade Street, Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 9-11 a.m. The class will be presented by certified diabetic educator Kay Peacock of Novo Nordisk and will include information on healthy eating and living a healthy lifestyle.
Diabetes is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases in America, impacting nearly 26 million children and adults in the U.S., with nearly 6 million patients visiting health centers due to the disease. Anyone who is dealing with diabetes is welcome to attend the free class and encouraged to bring a friend or family member.
