The Florida three-day tax break on school supplies is set for August 1 to August 3. Shoppers will not have to pay sales taxes on any clothing worth $100 or less. This includes clothes, handbags, wallets and any footwear. Footwear that is excluded from the tax-free weekend includes: skis, rollerblades, skates or swim fins. Shoppers will not have to pay taxes on school supplies worth $15 or less per item. The first $750 of a personal computer is tax-free. Personal computers include electronic book readers, laptops, desktops, tablets and tower computers.
