Florida Legislature is moving forward with plans to hold a 19-day special session this fall to redraw the state’s 40 Senate districts. The session will begin at noon on Monday, Oct. 19 and will last until Nov. 6. Legislators held an August special session to draw up new congressional districts, but the House and Senate deadlocked over the issue. The 2016 Legislative Session will also convene two months earlier next year on January 12, 2016. Sessions usually start in March.
