Flags and Flagpoles: Golfing for Veterans

John Willoughby: Greene Publishing, Inc.

Have you ever wanted to somehow help benefit veterans and their families in the Madison community? Well now is your chance!

On Friday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m., join the Sons of the American Legion and many others for a cause. This golf tournament will benefit Madison veterans and their families as well as wounded veterans and school education.

This tournament will not only feature golfing, but you will have the chance to win door prizes and bid at the silent auction. If you’re a player, you will have the chance to win in categories such as Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive or Best Ball Format. Lunch will also be provided.

To play, it’s $50 per player and $200 per team. If you would like to sponsor this event, it is $100 per hole (includes signage at the tee-box and green).

This event is for all ages and will take place at the Madison Golf and Country Club, located at 445 SW Country Club Rd, in Madison. Come support our veterans and have fun. We’ll see you there!
