On Friday, April 8, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) efficiently executed a narcotics search warrant in Madison at the home of Gilbert Jones.
Along with the search warrant, members of the Madison County SERT had the arrest warrants in hand for the individuals who committed a felony level crime as a result of their participation in illegal drug distribution that was discovered after the Sheriff’s Drug Task Force undertook a covert investigation and discovered the criminal activities.
During the SERT search, investigators discovered crack cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia used to facilitate drug sales.
Those arrested were Gilbert “Chico” Jones, with the charges of possession of crack cocaine with the intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a church (two counts), sale of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church (two counts), possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; Bobbi Jean Light was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; Cierra Jones was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a church and possession of drug paraphernalia; Antwoine Davis was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a church and possession of drug paraphernalia and Maxel Baggs, out of county warrant (violation of probation).
All individuals who were charged are residents of Madison County with the exceptions of Baggs, who is from Lake City, Fl.
