Elsie Kuhl, 17, was recently crowned as Miss Lee. She is a sophomore at Madison County High School. She is the daughter of JoAnn and Kris Kuhl.
For the contest, each participant had to write an essay. Kuhl decided to participate because, “when I was younger I used to visit my grandparents from Southwest Florida just to see the Lee Day Festival. I had told my parents that one day when I get older, I wanted to be Miss Lee.”
Kuhl loves being able to represent Lee but she has also gained something more from being crowned Miss Lee.
“Being crowned Miss Lee helped me with gaining more confidence in myself,” said Kuhl.
After graduating high school, Kuhl would like to go to college for her LPN license and if that is what she enjoys she wants to pursue her RN degree.
