Early Afternoon Fire Leads To Total Loss

Lee Community Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to a structure fire around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17, on 1198 Lantana Drive in Lee. The structure, a doublewide trailer, was fully involved with fire when the first unit arrived on scene.  The home belonged to Frankie Porter.
According to Lee Volunteer Fire and Rescue Fire Chief Jason Archambault, a tall column of black smoke could be seen from Old Blue Springs Road as responders approached.
There were no injuries reported and all occupants were out of the building by the time the first unit arrived. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Lee Community Volunteer Fire Department was assisted by Madison Fire Rescue and Pinetta Volunteer Fire Department.
