Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on Saturday, September 12 at 3:12 p.m., a Madison County Sheriff’s Office deputy observed a silver BMW traveling at a high rate of speed on Interstate 10. The officer confirmed the speed to be 91 mph and conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 262. As the officer approached the vehicle a strong odor of marijuana was detected coming from within the vehicle. The officer identified the driver as Andrew Vincent Driscoll, 23, of Jupiter, Florida. A search of the vehicle discovered felony amounts of marijuana, marijuana oil, cocaine, packaging, scales, various types of unlabeled prescription pills and drug paraphernalia. Driscoll was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Madison County Jail. He has been charged with one count of trafficking controlled substances, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (marijuana and cocaine), three counts of possession of controlled substance without prescriptions (hydrocodone, oxycodone and Xanax) and six counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
