A driver ran a red light at the intersection of U.S. 90 and State Road 53 South and collided with another vehicle on Tuesday, August 4 at 1:55 p.m. According to the Madison Police Department report, Savannah Nicole Richards, 20, of Lee was traveling east on U.S. 90 when she ran a red light at the intersection of U.S. 90 and State Road 53 South. Richards collided with Callas Edward Doeing, 31, of Lee as he was making a left turn onto SR 53 from the turning lane on west U.S. 90. Richards stated that her light was green so she drove through the intersection. Doeing stated that he had the green arrow to turn so he and the black car in front of his proceeded to make the turn. He also stated that Richards was the only one in her lane and she did not stop but the vehicles in the other lane were at a complete stop. Richards was found at fault for the wreck. Doeing and Richards did not report any injuries.
