With a 28-5 record, the Madison County High School Cowgirls basketball team wrapped up the season with some impressive achievements. The Cowgirls won the title of region 3 champs, district 5-1A Champs and Class 1A State Champs.
In celebration for their outstanding accomplishments, there will be a rally held on Friday, Feb. 26 in front of the Smith Mansion. The roads will be blocked off and the party will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. During this time, there will be several things going on, including a meet-and-greet with the Cowgirls, photo opportunities and a special recognition from key leaders of the City of Madison and the Madison County School Board.
There will also be Cowgirls shirts available for purchase at the event. Youth sized shirts (Youth small to Youth XL) will be $10, adult sized shirts (S-XL) will be $12 and shirts sizes 2X and up will be $15.
From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., there will be a private party for the Cowgirls, coaches and the Cowgirls' guests in the Smith Mansion. The Madison Church of God and Chef Art Smith, with the help of Rancho Grande, will be providing the meal.
Everyone is invited to attend the rally in in order to congratulate the Cowgirls.
