County Coordinator Brian Kauffman has announced that several county roads covering approximately 24 miles, will undergo painting and striping during the month of September. According to Kauffman, this is to “improve visibility of these safety markings.” During this time, local motorists should be aware of this, and are asked to use extra caution, as well as allow for extra driving time in the affected areas.
Areas affected by this project include: NE Rootman Rd., NE Dusty Miller Ave., NE CR 255 (from NE Hickory Grove Rd., just to SR 6), NE CR 255 (from SR 6 to US 90), SE Farm Rd., SE County Camp Rd., SE Byrd Ave., SE Osgood Ave., SW Georgetown Rd., SW Christmas Tree Ln., SW Ganzy Ave., SW Summerset Way, SW Bentley St., SW Jackson St., SW Lee St., SW Brookwood St., SW Valentine Ave., SW Happy St. and SW Anastasia Way. In addition to these roadways, the parking area at the Madison County Recreation Complex will be repainted with pavement markings.
