Madison Senior Center
Pastor Timmy Dyke, along with a group of volunteers, will be serving a community Thanksgiving dinner at the Madison County Senior Citizens Center on Thanksgiving Day. The dinner will be a traditional Thanksgiving feast made up of turkey and dressing, green beans, sweet potatoes, rolls and dessert. The dinner is something Pastor Dyke organizes to provide for those who may not have a dinner otherwise. “Last year we were able to serve approximately 300 meals,” said Dyke. “We are praying that God would allow us to feed 500 this year.”
Dyke said volunteers are still needed to help prepare and serve, and donations of paper goods, food and desserts would be welcome. “You can come and join us in being God’s hands and feet in the event,” he said. “So please join us in praying for this event.”
The dinner will start at 11 a.m., and go until 2 p.m. The Senior Center is located at 1161 SW Harvey Greene Drive in Madison. For more information on volunteering or attending the event, please call Pastor Dyke at (850) 464-8107.
