But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? (1 John 3:17).
On Saturday, Oct. 8 at Four Freedoms Park, located in Madison, a Reach Madison Community Day will be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The event, organized by Timmy Dyke, is to be held as a way for church members to “get outside the walls of their church” and “share Jesus with the community,” according to Dyke.
Everyone, from all walks of life and faith, are invited to the community day, where there will be free facepainting, popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, bounce houses and pork or chicken meals.
“Everything is free,” said Dyke.
Churches and volunteers are also invited to come and participate in the event by setting up their own booths or helping serve meals and distribute food. According to Dyke, they will continue to accept church booths even after the event has started.
