July 14-17
   A nature and insect camp will be held from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. The cost will be $35 for the camp.

July 17
   Ken Folsom will be at the Senior Citizens Center 9-12 for hearing testing and hearing aid maintenance.  No appointment necessary.

July 18
   Stay at work and let elder Care Services bring you lunch on Friday, July 18th. For $10 per person, an ECS volunteer will deliver Summertime Favorites to you between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 18th. (Minimum 2 orders per office.) You could plan a mid-summer celebration for your office or business. All proceeds benefit services for seniors in the Big Bend area, including Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Services, and Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion Volunteers. You will get served:   A Chicken Sandwich, cole slaw, baked beans, chips and a brownie. Please call in your order by July 14 at (850)- 921-5554.

July 19
   The Gibbs Family will be in concert at the Midway Church of God on Saturday, July 19, at 7 p.m. Admission is free. A love offering will be received during the concert.

July 20
   The Gibbs Family of Scottsmoor will be in concert at Bible Deliverance Church on Sunday, July 20, at 11 a.m. Admission is free, but a love offering will be received during the concert. For more information, please call (850) 973-4622 or (850) 464-0114.

July 25-27

   The Mosley/Hodge family reunion will be held July 25-27. This is the first family reunion for all descendants of Tom Mosley and his wife Rosa Hodge of West Farm. The reunion will be held in Madison. For more information, please call (301) 808-2693.

July 26
   There will be Gospel Sing at Faith Baptist Church on Saturday July, 26 at 6 p.m. Faith Baptist Church will have a Gospel Sing, featuring two of North Florida's premier groups; Southland and The Mercy Mountain Boys. July 26
   The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park will host a creative writing workshop taught by Jeffry Boatright, with special guest Bob Palmer on Saturday July 26 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The park is located on US41, three miles from I-75 and nine miles from I-10. The workshop is designed to help the participants create and publish their own book and will lead would-be authors through the fundamentals of starting a book, character development, ways to overcome writer’s block and methods of publishing the completed book.  The workshop is free with regular park admission. August 8-9
   There will be a women’s conference at the First Baptist Church, Hawkinsville, Ga. on Friday-Saturday, August 8-9, 2008. Bobbie Mason will be in Concert at 7 p.m. Friday. The conference will begin at 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The $30 registration fee includes Friday’s concert and continental breakfast, lunch and the conference on Saturday. August 9, 10, 16 and 17
   A paramedic refresher course will be offered at North Florida Community College for licensed paramedics Aug. 9, 10, 16 and 17. Classes are from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. all four days. Students must attend all four days to get credit for the class. The course will be held at NFCC’s Career and Technical Education Center (building #13, room #130). September 5

   The MCHS Class of 1983 will meet at the Elks Lodge for drinks (cash bar) and heavy Hors d’oeuvers around 3:30-4:00.  They can go to the football game and then return after the game to continue their visiting.

September 6 
   The MCHS Class of 1983 will be at Divine Events at 7 until about midnight.  There will be more heavy Hors d’oeuvers, drinks (another cash bar), dancing and lots of visiting. The price per couple is  $75.00 and $40 for singles.  You can make your checks out to “MCHS class of 1983 “ and mail them to MCHS Class of 1983, 146 SE Pope Avenue, Madison, Florida 32340.  We need to receive your payment no later than August 15, 2008. September 9-10           
   There will be free Prostate Cancer screening on September 9-10 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. This event will be held at the Southeastern Urological Center located at 2000 Centre Point Blvd., Tallahassee. Call the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer center beginning August 4 at 431-(ICAN) to register.
