Collision On I-10 Caused By Careless Driving

A collision on I-10 near mile marker 264 on Friday, Nov. 28, at 12:15 p.m., led to one driver being charged with careless driving, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Brian Tannenbaum, 22, of Sarasota, Fl., was traveling westbound in the outside lane. Lisa Wurtzel, 48, of New Orleans, La., was traveling in the outside lane in front of Tannenbaum. Tannenbaum advised he looked away from the roadway and when he looked back he could not avoid collision with the rear of Wurtzel’s 2005 Toyota Prius. Wurtzel’s Prius and Tannenbaum’s 2001 Toyota Corolla traveled northwest across the paved shoulder and onto the north grass shoulder.
Wurtzel and her passenger, David Wurtzel, 64, of New Orleans, La., received minor injuries and were transported to Madison County Memorial Hospital. Tannenbaum was charged with careless driving.
