ACA golfers win at district tournament

Rick Patrick: Greene Publishing, Inc. On Wednesday, Oct. 18, the Aucilla Christian Academy (ACA) Warriors golf team participated in the district golf tournament held at Southwood Golf Club, in Tallahassee. Megan Schofield and Ryan Jackson earned the lowest scores of the tournament. Schofield successfully defended her district title by shooting a 73 while Jackson shot a 72. It is capped off with a game wherein the home team wins big, giving everyone a reason to celebrate and feel a great deal of pride and school spirit. Jake Sullivan Golf Tournament planned for Oct. 21-22

The annual Jake Sullivan Golf Tournament will feature fun, food and friendly competition from Saturday, Oct. 21 to Sunday Oct. 22 at the Madison Golf & Country Club. It is a two-man team tournament with entry fees of $125 per person. The format for the weekend will be Best Ball on Saturday and Scramble on Sunday. Tee off times of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. are available.
