The year of the Cowboys

Rick Patrick: Greene Publishing, Inc. On Friday, May 5, the Madison County High School (MCHS) Cowboys baseball team completed a trifecta that has never been done before at MCHS. New Testament Christian School recognizes basketball teams

Nancy Taylor: Greene Publishing, Inc. New Testament Christian School (NTCS) held their annual awards banquet for their basketball teams on Friday, April 14. The banquet was held in the New Testament Christian Center fellowship hall. Coaches Justin and Nicole Kinsey were eager to recognize the 2016-17 NTCS Saints JV and varsity players for both the boys and girls teams. Cowboys send Seniors out with a win

Rick Patrick: Greene Publishing, Inc. On Tuesday, April 25, the Madison County High School (MCHS) baseball team paid tribute to three seniors on Senior Night. The Cowboys could not have chosen a better way to send the seniors out in style than with a shut-out win. The Cowboys went ahead six runs in the first inning, then added two more runs in the second. Changes ahead in high school football playoffs

Rick Patrick: Greene Publishing, Inc. There will be a new playoff system in place for Florida Class 1A schools next football season. The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) has eliminated districts. Instead the state will be divided into four regions. Madison County High School (MCHS) will be in Region 3 in Class 1A. Other schools in Region 3 include: Bell, Branford, Chiefland, Dixie County, Hamilton County, Hilliard, Lafayette, Trenton, and Union County. Playoff berths will be based on a point system.
