Class 1A football playoff field announced

Rick Patrick: Greene Publishing, Inc. The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) has announced the 16 teams that will be vying for the coveted State Championship trophy. The FHSAA announced earlier this year the playoff teams would be determined by a point system that awarded points, not only on the basis of wins and losses, but on the strength of the team’s schedule as well. Rick Patrick: Greene Publishing, Inc. The Aucilla Christian Academy golf team punched their ticket to the state golf championships at the Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fl. The Warriors came in second place in the regional tournament held at Seminole Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fl. on Tuesday, Oct 24. Megan Schofill won the girls’ regional title. The Jake Sullivan Golf Tournament made for an awesome weekend

Emerald G. Parsons: Greene Publishing, Inc. The annual Jake Sullivan Golf Tournament was held Oct. 21-22 at the Madison Golf & Country Club. Approximately 60 golfers joined together for a fun-filled weekend of golf, great food and great fellowship. The two-man teams battled it out with scores from their Best Ball on Saturday and their Scramble scores on Sunday. Participants were served lunch on both Saturday and Sunday and a catered dinner was served on Saturday evening with special entertainment by Highway 59.
