Area churches hold joint vacation bible school

Nancy Taylor: Greene Publishing, Inc. Cherry Lake First Baptist Church served as the location for a joint community vacation bible school (VBS) coordinated by Cherry Lake First Baptist Church and Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. It began Sunday, July 16 and went through Friday, July 21, from 6 pm. until 9 p.m. Classes were held for ages two – adult. Honey Lake Church to host cancer survivor on August 13

Nancy Taylor: Greene Publishing, Inc. Cancer is one of the most feared diseases and it takes the lives of over 7 million people worldwide each year. On Sunday, Aug. 13, Honey Lake Church attendees will hear a story from a lady who survived several bouts with this killer disease and lives a healthy life today. Youth group attends youth conference

Nancy Taylor: Greene Publishing, Inc. On Monday, July 10, a group of 11 youth left New Testament Christian Center around lunch time and traveled to Pensacola, Fl. in order to attend the Branded by Fire Youth Conference at Brownsville Assembly of God. Justin and Rebecca Riegsecker, youth pastors at the church, Allen and Julie Cochran, and Sharon McClune (along with her younger daughter, Kaylee) accompanied the group.
