Bass graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Wake Forest, NC with a Master of Divinity degree. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Education. Before coming to Pinetta, Bass served as senior pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church, in Youngsville, NC. The Madison Church of God (MCOG) will have a movie night on Sunday, May 6, at 5 p.m. The movie, Samson, will be shown, with a love offering taken to help build a church in Sierra Leone, a country in West Africa. The youth of Hopewell Baptist Church (HBC) will have a gospel sing and fish-fry on Saturday, May 5, at 5:30 p.m. Tickets for this fundraiser are $8 per person or $15 for a couple.
