According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, charges against a pedestrian have been issued after Sheldrick Miller, 22, of Greenville, was walking east on SW Obadiah St., and moved to the south shoulder as a vehicle, driven by Erin Fead, 54, of Greenville, approached.
Fead advised that he slowed to five miles per hour as he came up on Miller.
Fead’s passenger, Ralph Cuthbertson, 34, also of Greenville, said that Miller sprang into the road “all of a sudden” and jumped onto the hood of Fead’s 2002 Toyota Tundra.
Miller received minor injuries and was transported to Madison County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Charges against Miller have arisen for leaving a place of safety and entering a vehicle’s path.
No alcohol involvement has been reported.
