City of Madison Police Department was dispatched to a wreck at the intersection of South Duval Avenue and Millinor Street at 7:05 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15. According to the police report, Kevin Edwerd Gilley, 32, of Greenville, was traveling South on Duval Avenue in a blue Ford Expedition when he stopped to pick up a passenger, Mark Frederick Solomon, 46, of Madison. Once Solomon entered the vehicle, Gilley made a u-turn on South Duval in the path of a white semi-truck driven by Eddie Paul Lundy, 73, of Jennings, Fl. Lundy applied brakes and skidded approximately 93 feet, striking the Expedition in the front fender, front driver's side door and the rear driver's side door. Gilley complained of chest pain and was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with non- incapacitating injuries. Solomon was transported to Madison County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Lundy, the driver of the semi, complained of back pain, however declined medical attention.
