A car took a nose-dive into Lake Frances on Wednesday, June 24 at 2 p.m. on Lake Shore Drive in Madison. According to the Madison Police Department report, Bryon Wilson Hughes, 25, of Lee pulled off the road at Lake Frances due to fatigue. Hughes failed to put the vehicle in park and fell asleep. His foot came off the brake pedal and his 2013 BMW drove into the water. Hughes was not injured. He was charged with careless driving.
