She attended high school in Greenville, graduated as Valedictorian in 1948, and continued her education at Florida State University. Betty had a long history of public service. She worked for the Jefferson County Health Department from 1954-1971 and served the City of Monticello as City Clerk and Treasurer from 1977-1996, until her retirement. Her love for the Lord Jesus Christ was evident through her service as the pianist and then as the organist at First Baptist Church in Monticello from 1950-2005, and as pianist at Sharon Community Church in Greenville, from 2012-2017. It was also her privilege to play for countless funerals and for families through the years.

Betty married William Wycliffe Bullock on October 30, 1949, and had three sons and one daughter: William Warren Bullock (Deborah); Wallace Owen Bullock (Diana); Robert Wesley Bullock (Peggye); and Jean Wycliffe Bullock Marsh (Perry), all of Monticello. She had 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren who she dearly loved and counted as treasures. She is survived by a sister, Ruth Ann Wheeler (Eugene), of Keystone Heights, Fl.; a brother, Alan Wesley Warren of Greenville; three sister-in-laws, Lorraine Warren, of Greenville, Ann Bullock Duffack, of Monticello, and Marge Masterman, of Tallahassee; and several nieces and nephews, as well as grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Inez and Schley J. Warren; her husband, William Wycliffe Bullock; three brothers, Schley J. Warren, Jr., Lowell Thomas Warren, and Michael Eugene Warren; and a sister, Edwina Warren Laney.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, at the First Baptist Church of Monticello, with burial at Roseland Cemetery. The family received friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the GIST Cancer Research Fund, 55 Saw Mill Road, New City, NY 10956. Donations may also be made on their website at www.gistinfo.org.
