Girls from all over the county came to compete in the Miss Winter Wonderland Pageant held Saturday, Feb. 22 at the North Florida Community College auditorium to compete for a crown in nine different age divisions. The divisions started at Infant Miss, which included girls aged birth-12 months and divisions ended with Miss, which included girls aged 16-21. There was also an optional division for Miss Winter Wonderland Charity Queen. This division was for the contestant who raised the most money above and beyond the required entry fee, with proceeds going to the Children’s Advocacy Center. Anna Vullo, daughter of Mike and Leslie Vullo of Madison, was queen of the day as she was crowned winner of the Miss Winter Wonderland pageant as well as winner for Miss Winter Wonderland Charity Queen. Danyel Rucker, director of the pageant, says she appreciates all the contestants and says they did a wonderful job. She also wanted to give a big thank you to Nestle Waters for being the largest single donator for the pageant. Proceeds above the contestant application fees from the pageant will be donated to the Miss Relay for Life team that is currently working to help fight cancer in Madison County.
