Emergency Contact Information is a service offered by Florida which allows Florida residents to provide emergency contact information to law enforcement in the event of an emergency. This information may save crucial time if it becomes necessary to contact family members or other loved ones. This service is only available to individuals holding a current Florida Driver’s License or Florida Identification Card. To sign up for Emergency Contact Information, go to the website https://services.flhsmv.gov/eci/ and follow the directions on the screen. Be sure to have your Florida Driver’s License or Florida Identification Card on hand to enter the identifying numbers. Two contacts can be entered with a maximum of three contact numbers each, along with that person’s address and relationship to the person signing up. Emergency Contact Information began in 2007 and currently has 8,822,432 people who have utilized the service and added contact information.
