ACA Seniors Receive North Florida Football Conference Honors

The North Florida Football Conference recently released their special teams and special honors for the 2014 season. Aucilla Christian Academy’s senior football players ranked among the best in the conference.
Austin Bishop made the All-Conference Team and the Northern Division All-Division Team with 121 completed passes out of 202 for 1,807 yards with 17 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also rushed for 373 yards on 37 carries.  He finished his two year career at quarterback as the single season passing leader with a total of 4,103 passing yards and 34 touchdowns. He played safety and linebacker on defense this year totaling 79 tackles and three interceptions.
Timmy Burrus made the All-Conference Team and the Northern Division All-Division Team with 84 receptions on the year for a total of 1,301 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns, setting the school record for receptions and receiving yards. He also carried the ball 32 times for 224 yards. On defense, he totaled 44 tackles with two interceptions.
Cole Schwab made the All- Conference Team and the Northern Division All-Division Team with a total of 139 tackles on the season with three sacks and two fumble recoveries. He also played right tackle and allowed just one sack this year with 29 pancake blocks. Cole is a four year varsity starter and team captain.
Eric Hutsell received the North Florida Football Conference Individual Sportsmanship Honor.
It is clear that Aucilla’s senior football players have worked very hard this season and have received some much deserved recognition. Congratulations, boys!
