Samuel Kleckley
Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on Friday the 11th day of January 2013, Deputy Brad Johnson and Cpl. Mike Maurice were patrolling the area of Georgetown Road when Deputy Johnson spotted a vehicle driven by Samuel Leon Kleckley of Madison. Deputy Johnson had knowledge that Kleckley had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Violation of Probation. Deputy Johnson turned around to get into position to conduct a traffic stop on Kleckley as Kleckley passed by Cpl. Maurice. Both units followed Kleckley to Harvey Greene Drive and initiated a traffic stop. Both deputies approached the vehicle and Deputy Johnson called Kleckley by name. The warrant was confirmed through Communications and Kleckley was placed under arrest without incident. During the arrest, Kleckley stated that he had a small amount of Marijuana inside the vehicle. Cpl. Maurice used canine Leo to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle. K-9 Leo gave a positive alert to the presence of narcotic odor inside the vehicle. During a Probable cause search of the vehicle, Cpl. Maurice located a small bag of marijuana concealed inside a large pack of gum. The marijuana was seized as evidence and Kleckley was transported to the Madison County Jail.
