LAKE CITY: The following is a list of roadwork underway by the FDOT that may impact traffic.
ALACHUA COUNTY:
Archer Road (State Road 24) Nighttime lane closures Sunday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. between Interstate 75 and Southwest 34th Street (State Road 121) for paving the new median crossovers.
Hawthorne Road (State Road 20) Daytime lane closures from Waldo Road to the Putnam County line to repaint the roadway markings.
Interstate 75 The northbound exit ramp at Archer Road (State Road 24 – Exit 384) is scheduled to be closed at 9 p.m. Monday and reopen by 6 a.m. Friday, April 15 for reconstruction. Traffic will be detoured to either Newberry Road (State Road 26 – Exit 387) or Williston Road (State Road 121/331 – Exit 382) during the closure.
Interstate 75 Daytime lane closures between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to widen the northbound exit ramp at Newberry Road (State Road 26) (Exit 387).
Newberry Road (State Road 26) Daytime lane closures at the I-75 interchange between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to work on the medians as part of the I-75 northbound exit ramp widening.
Newberry Road (State Road 26) Crews will be repainting the roadway lines from the Gilchrist County line to Northwest 13th Street (US 441).
Northeast Sixth Street (State Road 20) Crews will be repainting the roadway lines from Northwest Eighth Avenue to 13th Street (US 441).
Northwest 34th Street (State Road 121) Daytime lane closures near Northwest 58th Avenue for driveway work at the new Gainesville Senior Recreation Center.
South Main Street (State Road 329) Traffic is detoured from University Avenue to South First Avenue for reconstruction of the roadway. Southbound through traffic is detoured to University Avenue, Southwest Sixth Street and Southwest Fourth Avenue. Northbound through traffic is detoured to Southeast Fourth Avenue, Southeast Third Street and University Avenue. Local traffic has access and all businesses in the area are open and accessible. This section is scheduled to be reopened to traffic on April 15-16, weather permitting. Also, crews will be repainting the roadway lines from Williston Road (State Road 331) to Depot Avenue.
Southwest 13th Street (US 441) Daytime lane closures at the intersection with Southwest 16th Avenue to modify a driveway for a new CVS Pharmacy being built in the southeastern corner.
Southwest 16th Avenue (State Road 226) Daytime lane closures at the intersection with Southwest 13th Street (US 441) to modify a driveway for a new CVS Pharmacy being built in the southeastern corner.
Southwest 34th Street (State Road 121) Crews will be repainting the roadway lines from Williston Road (State Road 331) to University Avenue (State Road 26).
State Road 26 Daytime lane closures both east and west of US 301 for pavement corrections and final paving work. Traffic is now using the new overpass over US 301 and the CSX Railroad.
University Avenue (State Road 26) Daytime lane closures at the intersection with Main Street from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to work on the curb in the northeastern corner.
US 301 Daytime lane closures from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Orange Heights and Waldo for work on the shoulders and installing new signs.
US 441 Daytime lane closures south of Hague at the northern entrance to Gainesville Renewable Energy Center to modify the driveway and turn lanes. Crews will be repainting the roadway lines from Northwest Sixth Street to the Columbia County line.
BAKER COUNTY:
State Road 2 Daytime lane closures at the Moccasin Creek and Sleepy J. Creek bridges located between two and four miles west of County Road 127 on Tuesday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for routine bridge maintenance.
US 90 No lane closures planned as the project is expected to be complete by Monday afternoon between Sanderson and the Nassau County line.
BRADFORD COUNTY:
State Road 100 Daytime lane closures from the Clay County line to the Union County line to repaint the roadway markings.
CLAY COUNTY:
State Road 100 Daytime lane closures from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from east of Keystone Heights to the Putnam County line to work on the shoulders and replace guardrail. Nighttime lane closures may begin Thursday between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. to place the final layer of asphalt.
COLUMBIA COUNTY:
Baya Drive (State Road 10A) Crews will be repainting the roadway lines from East US 90 to West US 90 on Sunday.
County Road 245 (Price Creek Road) The road is closed at the Olustee Creek Bridge about a mile north of State Road 238 through June. Northbound traffic is detoured to State Road 238 to US 441 to CR 349 and back to CR 245. Southbound traffic is detoured to CR 349 to US 441 to SR 238 and back to CR 245.
Interstate 75 Nighttime lane closures for southbound traffic from Sunday nights to early Friday mornings to resurface from north of the US 41/441 interchange (Exit 414) to the Santa Fe River Bridge at the Alachua County line. Up to two lanes will be closed between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph during lane closures and will remain at 60 mph in the two-mile section that is being resurfaced because of the milled condition of the roadway.
State Road 47 Daytime lane closures from King Road to US 41 to repaint the roadway markings.
US 41 North Daytime lane closures Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from north of I-10 to the Hamilton County line for repairs to the roadway shoulders. Flaggers will be directing traffic.
US 41/441 Daytime lane closures from US 90 to the Alachua County line to repaint the roadway markings and also crews will be repainting the roadway lines at the interchange with I-75.
US 90 Crews will be repainting the roadway lines from State Road 100 to the Suwannee County line on Sunday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
US 90 East Daytime lane closures between State Road 100/County Road 100A and just east of Florida Gateway College for work on sidewalks and drainage in preparation for resurfacing. Also, work continues on the new crossovers in the median at Hudson Discount Marine, Macatee Mobile Home Park and Easy Street Auto Brokers.
DIXIE COUNTY:
State Road 349 Daytime lane closures after 8 a.m. between US 19 at Old Town and the Lafayette County line to place the final layer of asphalt.
US 19 Daytime lane closures at the Suwannee River Bridge in Fanning Springs on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for routine bridge inspection.
HAMILTON COUNTY:
Interstate 75 Daytime and nighttime lane closures for northbound and southbound traffic with two lanes closed between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. nightly Sunday night through Thursday night in the vicinity of State Road 6 (Exit 460) for placing additional asphalt at the curves. Also, southbound traffic is reduced to two lanes and shifted onto the shoulder and adjacent lanes 24 hours a day at the CSX railroad overpass to protect workers who are performing major repairs on the pavement approaches to the overpass. No lane closures allowed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
US 41 Daytime lane closures Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from the Columbia County line to north of White Springs for repairs to the roadway shoulders. Flaggers will be directing traffic.
LEVY COUNTY:
Alternate 27 (US 27A) Daytime lane closures from Southeast 10th Street in Williston to the Marion County line for resurfacing.
MADISON COUNTY:
Base Street (US 90) The road will be totally closed from Duval Street (State Road 53 South) to North Washington Street (State Road 53 North) on April 15-16 for the 30th Annual Down Home Days Festival in downtown Madison. Madison Police will detour traffic.
State Road 145 Possible lane closures as crews work on completing the resurfacing and bike trail construction between Madison and Hanson.
US 19 Daytime lane closures from the Jefferson to Taylor County lines to pave the median crossovers.
US 90 (Base Street) Daytime lane closures at the intersection with Range Street for cleaning of the storm sewer drains. Also, daytime lane closures from US 221 in Greenville to the old State Road 10 side road for ditch cleaning.
US 221 Daytime lane closures from the Taylor County line to the Jefferson County line for ditch cleaning.
SUWANNEE COUNTY:
Interstate 75 Daytime lane closures at the Suwannee River Bridge on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for routine bridge inspection.
US 90 Crews will be repainting the roadway lines from the Madison County line to the Columbia County line on Sunday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
US 129 Crews will be repainting the roadway lines from US 90 to south of State Road 51 (Eleventh Street) on Sunday.
UNION COUNTY:
State Road 100 Daytime lane closures just east of County Road 231A at the Swift Creek Bridge on Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for routine bridge maintenance.
State Road 121 Daytime lane closures after 8:30 a.m. in Worthington Springs for driveway work to a new Dollar General Store.
