William “Rick” Sealey, Jr., 35, of Sierra Vista, Arizona passed away at Tucson Medical Center on Friday, January 18, 2013. Rick was born on January 28, 1977, in Thomasville, Georgia to William Sealey and Joan Hollie. He was raised in Live Oak, FL, and graduated from high school in Vilseck, Germany. He proudly served his country for 10 years with the U.S. Marine Corps and deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan. At the time of his death, he was a field technology officer for the Customs & Border Protection. Rick married Nedra Roberson on May 7, 2005, in Las Vegas, NV. He enjoyed scuba diving and marksmanship. He was a proud father taking his children shooting and helping with homework. He loved his community and served as the High Knight Militant of the Knightly Order of the Winged Llama.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Nedra, his children, Sydney, 14; Brayden, 13; and Logan, 6. Other survivors include his mother, Joan McCrimon and husband Michael; his father, William Sealey and wife, Linda, all of Live Oak, FL, as well as his siblings Amy Walker, Robby Smith and Brandy Dixson.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, January 23rd at Hatfield Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Hatfield Funeral Home. Rick will be taken back to Live Oak, FL for services, military and Border Patrol Honors as well as interment in Lee Memorial Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Garate, David Harris, Rick Habitzruther, Jon Bollin, and Tony Coles. His family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the William “Rick” Sealey, Jr. fund at Navy Federal Credit Union. All contributions to the fund will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project and the Border Patrol Foundation.
