Drug Search Warrants Executed

Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on Thursday the 16th day of August 2012 the Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force executed two (2) search warrants. The search warrants were results of several undercover drug buy operations that took place from individuals inside the residences. The search warrants were executed at the following locations:
Latonya Shrease Scott, B/F, DOB: 10/05/1982 of 442 SW Brookwood Avenue Madison Florida was arrested and charged for possession crack cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a church 2cts, Sell of Crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of church, possession of drug paraphernalia. An additional 2 grams of crack cocaine was discovered during the search warrant as well as the paraphernalia.
The residence of Johnny Bedgood located at 1304 SE Booker Avenue Madison Florida. The search warrant recovered 5 ounces of crack cocaine, 6 ounces of powder cocaine, 4 grams of marijuana, two (2) hand guns and drug paraphernalia. Johnny Bedgood, B/M, DOB: 11/29/1966 was not present during the search warrant and remains at large. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office have arrest warrants on Bedgood for possession crack cocaine with intent to sell and for the sell of crack cocaine to accompany new charges from the recovered drugs, weapons and paraphernalia seized during the search warrant. The investigation continues with possible arrest warrants for others involved in Bedgood’s operation.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Special Operations Team with executing the search warrants.

Task Forces Seizes Two and a Half Pounds Cocaine; Three Arrested

Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on Tuesday the 6th day of March 2012 at 11:50 AM, agents of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Drug Taskforce stopped a 2002 Dodge Ram truck traveling east bound on interstate 10 in Madison County. The 2002 Dodge Truck was stopped for a speeding violation. The truck was being driven by a Misael Deleon Nunez, DOB: 04/29/1970, address unknown, and occupied by one illegal immigrant.
While taking enforcement actions for the traffic violation, agents detected signs of deception and criminal activity. Agents requested consent to search and permission was granted. During the search agents noticed that the trucks engine oil pan showed signs of recent tampering.
The truck was relocated to complete the search by draining the oil and removing the oil pan to discover two and a half pounds of 99% pure cocaine from inside the oil pan. The oil pan had been modified to accommodate the cocaine. The United States Drug Enforcement Administration was contacted to assist in the investigation. The investigation led agents to Gainesville Florida where a third man was arrested. All three subjects were secured in Alachua County Jail and the Drug Enforcement Administration will present the case for federal prosecution.

Man Arrested On Cocaine Charges

Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that On Tuesday the 7th day of February 2012 at approximately 1:07 AM, Agents with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Chrysler 4 door sedan for a faulty equipment violation. The vehicle was being operated by Charles Lamar Kendrick and traveling Westbound on Interstate 10.
While Officers were taking enforcement action, they detected signs of possible criminal activity. Agents deployed canine “Dare” and a positive alert for the presence of narcotic odor was indicated. Agents conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and located a black bag under the front passenger seat. The black bag contained powder and crack cocaine.
Charles Lamar Kendrick, B/M, DOB: 01/16/1972 of Tallahassee Florida was arrested and charged with the following:
1. Possession of cocaine
2. Possession of crack cocaine
At the time of this arrest Kendrick was currently on Federal Probation for narcotic offenses.

Man Arrested For Intent To Sell Drugs, Cadillac Sezed

Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on Friday night June 3, 2011, Madison County Sheriff’s Office Corporal Kevin Anderson conducted a traffic stop in Madison County Florida that resulted in the arrest of Brian Antonio Hallman for felony possession with intent to sell cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy and paraphernalia. The illegal substances were located on the subject’s person and further concealed inside his 1992 Cadillac.
Brian Antonio, B/M, DOB: 12/08/1982 of Madison Florida was arrested without further incident and transported to the Madison County jail. Forfeiture proceedings are pending of the 1992 Cadillac
