The Madison Police Department is looking for information on an arson.
According to MPD reports, on Friday Jan. 18, at 11:30 p.m., Ptl. Troy Stallings was dispatched to Madison Heights Apartment # E-4 on Martin Luther King Dr. in ref. to a structure fire.
On arrival, Stallings assisted Madison Fire Rescue with the fire.
After the fire was extinguished, Fire Chief Bruce Jordan inspected damage and notified the State Fire Marshal’s office. On arrival of the Fire Marshal’s office, a preliminary investigation was conducted on the cause of the fire.
The State Fire Marshal’s office concluded that the fire was arson.

On Jan. 16
at approximately 4 p.m. in the Hamburg/Lovett area, (King Drink Box) a fire of a suspicious nature was located. The Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention is offering a reward up to $2,500 for information leading to the identification of person(s) responsible for this fire.
