Friday, March 1, is the deadline for to file for any exemptions or agricultural classifications with Property Appraiser Leigh Barfield’s office.
Exemptions, which people may qualify for include:
*Homestead exemptions
*Seniors 65 or older with an income limitation
*Blind exemption
*Widow/widower’s exemption
*A disability exemption
*A disabled veteran’s exemption
Applications for the exemptions may be downloaded from the Property Appraiser’s website at www.madisonpa.com, or you may go by the office on the second floor of the Courthouse Annex in Madison.
