On Saturday, February 5, 2011 Florida’s Lt Governor
Jennifer Carroll was in Madison, Florida to give the keynote
address at the Madison Military Family and Community
Covenant Signing Ceremony. A standing-room-only crowd
in the courtroom of the Madison County Courthouse heard
from local and state dignitaries as they spoke in support of
our military and their families. Lt Governor Carroll emphasized
the importance of communities like Madison as they care for
active duty service personnel and veterans and their families.
Immediately following the signing ceremony a flag that was flown
over the US Capital Building in Washington, D.C. and a state
flag that was flown in Tallahassee were raised on the flag pole
in front of the Courthouse.
