Three people were injured in a wreck on Rocky Ford Road at NE Bayberry Road on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 14.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Wyatt C. Hunter, 16, of Madison, was westbound in a 2012 Toyota Tundra on NE Bayberry Road and had stopped for a posted stop sign at Rocky Ford Road.
At the same time, Jerry L. Warren, 26, of Madison, was driving south on Rocky Ford Road in a 1996 GMC Sierra.
Hunter entered the intersection in front of Warren, striking the right side of Warren’s GMC with the front of the Tundra.
The GMC overturned and came to a final rest facing in a westerly direction.
Hunter’s Toyota came to a final rest on the southwest corner of the intersection, also facing in a westerly direction.
Jerry Warren and his passenger, Ollie May Warren, 43, also of Madison, and Hunter were transported to South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga., where they were treated for serious injuries.
Madison County EMS, Madison Fire and Rescue, the Cherry Lake Volunteer Fire Department and the Pinetta Volunteer Fire Department assisted the Florida Highway Patrol at the scene.
FHP Trooper Gus Smyrnios was the investigating officer.
