Roy Bruce Russell, age 86, died Sunday, February 11, 2013, at Crosswinds Health and Rehab.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at Beggs Funeral Home with burial at Cherry Lake Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 9-10 a.m. at the church.
Russell was born in Birmingham, Ala., and moved to Pinetta in 1974. He served in World War II and was a steel construction worker, plaster and cement mason and owner/operator of a trucking company. He was a member of Cherry Lake Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jayne Russell; four sons: Ronald Bruce Russell, Robert Russell, Donald Russell and Jeffery Russell; four daughters: Juanita Kavanagh, Barbara Winnington, Ronda Jayne Harbuck and Robin Russell Bennett; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
His parents, Ernest B. Russell, Sr., and Ethel Callan; a son, Larry Russell; a brother, Ernest B. Russell, Jr.; and a sister, Mary Juanita Yeargin, preceded him in death.
