The driver of a pickup involved in a rollover late Thursday evening, Dec. 1, or early Friday morning, Dec. 2, could not be found and had apparently left the scene.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the driver of a 2002 Chevy pickup was traveling north on Southwest O’Steen Road and failed to negotiate a curve. This caused the truck to travel onto the east should of the road.
The driver attempted to steer the truck back into the northbound lane and overcorrected, causing the truck to rotate one-quarter of a turn clockwise.
The pickup then traveled northwest onto the west shoulder of the run, where it turned over on its left side.
The truck came to a final rest, facing south on its left side in the bushes on the west shoulder of the road.
The driver was not at the scene and had not been located at the time of the FHP press release.
There were no leads or witnesses.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic at the scene.
