A man was seriously injured and lifeflighted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital after flipping his truck on Tuesday, September 1 at 2:25 p.m. on Juniper Drive in Lee. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, James Godfrey, 31, of Lee, Fl. was traveling east on Juniper Drive, just east of Old Blue Springs Road. Godfrey failed to maintain control of his 1997 Ford Ranger, causing it to travel off the roadway onto the south shoulder. As a result, the truck overturned coming to a final rest in the upright position facing north on the south shoulder of Juniper Drive. Godfrey received serious injuries and was lifeflighted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. According to the report, alcohol use is suspected but is pending results. Charges are pending further investigation.
