At 12:49 AM on Friday, June 3, 2011 Madison 911 Center
received a call about a structure fire on SW Parramore in
downtown Madison. The responding Madison Fire/Rescue
units found a home fully involved and requested assistance
from other departments. They were assisted by personnel
and equipment from Pinetta, Lee and Greenville. Hot embers
could be seen falling on the neighborhood from the intense
flames which reached fifty feet in the air at times. No injuries
have been reported and first responders are still on the scene
at 2:15 AM. Madison County EMS, Madison Sheriff’s Office
and Madison Police also assisted at the fire location.
