Greene Publishing, Inc. The Madison County School Board agreed to continue to use Andy Barnes’ services on a per-hour basis until a new CFO can be found, and even afterward during the ‘transition period’ while the new CFO settles in and learns the ropes. Barnes, who resigned from the school district to accept a new position elsewhere, agreed to the arrangement for a period beginning Oct. 5, 2013 and ending June 30, 2014, or sooner, if things go well. At the time of the meeting, the school district was in the process of advertising for a new CFO, and so far had received between 15 and 20 applications. The district expected to begin screening and interviewing the applicants shortly.
